Innovators Forum '23 Education
In the first edition of the Innovators Forum, we highlighted the Education of the Future as a central theme. We believe that in a world that is constantly changing, it is imperative to reflect on the way we learn and educate, as well as the skills we promote, ensuring access and development throughout life.
By promoting a movement for change, we brought together thinkers, teachers, students, companies, social investors, NGOs and the government to discuss this important topic, with the aim of promoting actions that generate positive impact. We gave a platform to innovators such as Dr. David Kellermann and Sugata Mitra and to inspiring conversations, providing a space to share trends and differentiating approaches, which helped us identify opportunities and challenges for the future.

In 2023, Sonae consolidated its commitment to Education, reaffirming its active role in driving the future in Portugal. This commitment, developed over decades, is evidenced by the investment, promotion and leadership of social projects aimed at the entire community, as well as by the continued focus on training as a way of developing its employees.
Through initiatives such as the Sonae Education Award, the PRO_MOV project, the investment in new educational models, partnerships with educational institutions and support for social organizations focused on maximizing academic success, especially among those most in need, Sonae has demonstrated a deep and lasting involvement in the area of Education, which inspired it to choose this theme as the inaugural theme of the Innovators Forum.
